Who we are
Lindsay Trinrud and Aidan Blackwell are dynamic partners in professional learning, combining over three decades of experience in education to help schools and organizations reimagine teaching and learning. Both are Harvard Project Zero Classroom alumna and bring expertise in inquiry-based learning, project-based strategies, and visible thinking practices. Together, they design and deliver engaging workshops that build collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, equipping educators with practical strategies that inspire innovation and elevate student experiences.
Lindsay graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education, earned her master’s and specialist degrees in Curriculum and Instruction from LaGrange College, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.). Aidan earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences Secondary Education from Auburn University, completed his master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbus State University, and is finishing his specialist degree in Secondary Education at the University of West Georgia. Their consulting work blends practical strategies with big-picture vision, making professional growth meaningful and impactful.
Outside of consulting, Lindsay enjoys Pilates and time with her husband, Kory, and their children, Asher (17) and Raine (14). Aidan treasures life with his wife, Brooke, their children, Ashton (6) and Ava (3), and never misses a chance to cheer on Auburn football—War Eagle! Known as “teacher besties” 364 days a year, Lindsay and Aidan put their partnership on pause for one day only: the Georgia vs. Auburn game.
The Origin of our Passion for PL
-
Our work began with a shared passion for quality teaching and supporting colleagues in our school system. What started as creating professional development for new teachers quickly grew into sessions for our building, and eventually into county-wide learning experiences. From those early days, we discovered the power of designing professional learning that is practical, engaging, and built by teachers for teachers—a passion that continues to guide our consulting today.
-
Building on the success of our district-level professional learning, we began sharing our work more broadly at the state level. We have presented at the Georgia Council for Social Studies (GCSS) Conference, where we engaged educators from across the state in practical, research-based strategies designed to make teaching and learning more impactful.
-
One of our proudest moments was presenting at the IB Global Conference in 2025 in New Orleans, where we shared our work alongside educators from around the world. The experience affirmed our belief in the power of collaboration and inspired us to continue expanding our professional learning beyond local and state levels.
